Serial entrepreneur and seasoned business leader Arnold Buckman has vested interests in diverse industries. He is the owner and president of Buckman Iron & Metal Co, Inc., a recycling company that has been in business for over 120 years. Based in LaSalle, Illinois, the family-owned company also has branches in Ottawa and Mendota. One of his notable achievement since assuming the position has been updating the recycling sites by introducing state-of-the-art machinery along with drive-through facilities to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Arnold Buckman’s efforts improved the company’s output, positioning it as an industry leader in the state.
In addition to the recycling plants, Mr. Buckman also owns Buckman Farms in Princeton, Illinois, Buckman Investment LLC in Wilmington, Delaware, and Buckman Trading, a private wealth management firm in Chicago. His ardent interest in planes and the aviation industry led him to establish a charter flight company, Buckman Aviation LLC, in Spring Valley, Illinois.
Arnold Buckman has been a member of the Rotary Club for almost 40 years. He also holds seats on the the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
